We are excited to introduce you to some of our newest teachers for Spring 2021 Retreat. They are very talented women and we can’t wait to see what they share with us in their classes!
Tamalu Glende

Tamalu Glende is an educator, massage therapist, author, mother of 11 and grandmother of an ever-growing number of healthy, happy and active children. Energy work, nutrition, essential oils and their applications have been a focus for her for most of the past 25 years, and her results speak for themselves. Tamalu specializes in essential oil applications, the science of the body, pain management, and working with you to create a workable strategy or plan to help you accomplish your wellness goals. You will be glad you spent time learning from her years of applied study!
While growing up, both Esther and I went to school with Tamalu. We are thrilled to work with her and add some fun little surprises for Retreat.
Christie Bryant

Christie is excited to teach her first bookbinding class for Ruby Bucket! She has attended several Ruby Bucket Retreats and loves to be surrounded by crafty kindred spirits. Christie fell in love with paper crafting over 25 years ago and it’s a love that has only grown deeper throughout the years. She started teaching scrapbooking classes and designing samples for her favorite scrapbook stores in 2002. Christie has worked on several scrapbooking Design Teams including Graphic 45 and Teresa Collins. Her scrapbooking work has been published in Somerset Memories, Papercraft, and Cardmaking magazines. She also designed for the Scrap n’ Art Online Magazine and created monthly layouts, cards, mini-books and tutorials for several years. This enabled her to create with products from countless scrapbooking companies.
Christie has always loved to dabble in design and photography and after a 20-year hiatus from college, she is now pursuing a Graphic Design major and Photography minor at BYU-Idaho.
She has been married to her sweet husband, Dan, for 24 years. They have two grown children; both are attending BYU-Idaho as well. Her son, Parker, is 23 and her daughter, Izabelle, is 19.
Christie loves spending time outdoors gardening or hiking in nature’s majesty. When not working with her husband on their web development business, bookkeeping for Wolfe Lighting, or going to school, Christie loves to cook, bake, craft, and spend time with her family and friends.
